Confusion species
Many species of Phyllonorycter are extremely similar, great care
should be given when separating these species. It is often impossible
to separate the adults of some species.

Wherever the foodplant is found.
Foodplant
Birch.
Lifestage data
Leaf miner. Eggs laid on underside of leaves. Larva makes a
rather small mine which contorts the leaf, pulling the leaf edges down.
Pupates attached to mine in a soft, but tough white cocoon. |
